David and Colleen Black specialize in Birmingham/Shelby Co. real estate.

David has lived in Alabama since 1982, and Colleen since 1992. The Blacks help buyers and sellers locate and sell properties throughout the entire county (the fastest growing in Alabama). Hoover, Helena, Pelham, Alabaster and Chelsea are among just a few of the communities where Colleen and David help individuals and families with their home buying and selling needs.

Colleen is the mother of one son. She and David are 'parents' of Fisbo, their six pound spoiled-rotten poodle.

Colleen is an Associate Broker with Keller Williams Realty, one of the fastest growing real estate companies in the U.S. She and David are active members of the Birmingham Association of Realtors, the Alabama Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Colleen holds the designation of ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) and the designation of CRS (Certified Residential Specialist).

Colleen's background as a financial planner makes her real estate career a natural fit. Before becoming a Realtor, she worked in the financial services industry, assisting people with planning for the future, and offering strategies on maximizing financial security. That experience makes her extremely well suited to consult and advise clients on buying and selling real estate.

David, a Texas native, comes from a broadcast journalism background and is a familiar face to people in Shelby county and central Alabama. He worked nearly ten years on the air as a television news reporter and weather anchor at WVTM, Birmingham's NBC affiliate.

David and Colleen know that individuals and families today must select a home based on what fits their needs and wishes and that stays within their budget. They are more than happy to assist people who may want help in understanding the process of buying or selling a home, and are willing to help by providing extensive guidance.
